Studio Artwork
Most of my formal training is in photography and printmaking. I studied painting and drawing in high school and returned to these media while preparing my pre-program portfolio for conservation. I love working with a live model and charcoal is my favorite medium, although I do find the rhythm of working with oils very therapeutic. Here are examples of some of my most recent work.

Cover of the catalog for the Winterthur Museum exhibition. These miniature portraits of eyes were historically produced in watercolor on ivory and were made into broches, necklaces, wristbands, etc. to be worn as a close reminder of your loved one. They were often given as gifts between lovers. This custom dates to the 18th century and is associated with secrecy. Learn more

Chandelier 2013
Recycled wine bottlesI cut, sanded, drilled, and sandblasted a vine and leaf pattern onto the bottles using the cold shop at the Chrystler Museum of Art Glass Studio.The design for the chandelier was a collaboration between myself and Saleh Sheikh to be efficient and match the faux wrought iron balusters in the home where the chandelier was to be installed. Saleh Sheikh, Electrical Engineer, wired the light fixture. -
